First, let me say congratulations on finishing your novel, that’s an accomplishment on its own and you should be proud of your hard work. If you’re ready to show your book  to someone else then you must have done some of your own self-editing, which can be tough – so again, congratulations!

I’ve been where you are and I know what it’s like, trusting your hard work to someone else. The first time I sent a novel out to be edited, I felt queasy. And yes, even editors need to have their work edited by someone else.
